Sometimes, Marta catches herself reading hard words said her, she asks why, like it was a kind of way to hurt her a little more. As if she needed to convince herself that somebody hurt her. It's not enough to feel it. 

She was laughing... and she cried. 

Perhaps either this that she represents: somebody who you can say anything without worrying, because she'll be there, even if it hurts. And she perceives this only allows her to become a person who can be hurt all the time, without cost.

Marta asks herself why she forgets things that hurt her when it is said by people she love so much?

Than she reads, and reads, and reads. And remember of words sound listened. And tries to care less about, but she just... can't.

Is it because at some moment in the last 5 years she became a she-ass? Or simply she lost herself?

The fact is that she's here, rereading, and no matter how hard dissimulate not... it was said.
